What is the honour all cards rule?
The honour all cards rule requires merchants to accept all cards issued under a particular card scheme regardless of type (debit or credit) or issuing bank. This guarantees issuers equality of access, non-discrimination and trust in the card to cardholders.
This is not a legal requirement, however it is built in to card scheme rules. Your acquiring bank will be able to give you further information on card scheme rules.
